My years of experience in the medical fitness industry has led me to envision a service that could be brought right to someone’s home. Encountering people who want to take that next step forward in their fitness desires but may be unsure how to start a routine, needs specific instruction due to previous health condition or problems executing proper technique is why I wanted to start FC Personal Training. A personal training service that is specialized for the person’s level of fitness addressing their needs and goals instructing techniques with modifications as well as a variety of options that will safely challenge and motivate every client.

About Me


My involvement in movement dates to my youth and having the passion to participate in any sport or fitness activity available. Having a father who taught and coach several athletic programs provided the perfect resource in pursuit of my next physical challenge. I continued that vision by following in my father’s footsteps and completing a degree in Health and Physical Education. With several years instructing, teaching proper movement patterns in Physical Education along with developing sport specific skills and techniques in my coaching tenure, my acuity of biomechanics and kinesiology was significantly enhanced creating a new passion in personal training. In 1995 I began that pursuit instructing proper techniques, developing specific exercise programs and motivating countless individuals how to improve their current levels of fitness. Since 2000, I completed over 20,000 hours of personal training along with positions as Master Trainer developing employee and associates how to professionally deliver a highest level of personal training and instruct progression programs that safely and effectively have the client achieve their goal.

Don has been providing individual exercises, stretching an therapy suggestions for seven of us older men at a private gym for about three years. Our ages range from 68 to 76 an we have a wide range of shoulder, back, health an strength issues.

Don has is continually providing us with ways to maintain flexibility an strength with adaptive techniques. He asks what our ailments are an sets on path to move forward. My spinal stenosis an herniated disk have required several modifications to my exercise program. Don has been most helpful in guidance an improvement of my back pain issue.

I began working with Don after I was released from physical therapy post knee reconstructive surgery. My surgery was quite extensive and I also had a manipulation due to my knee not having enough range of motion. 

Once release from PT, I was able to walk and stand for short periods of time. I was unable to complete many of the chores and activities that I had hoped. This is when I began working with Don. My first session was quite surprising. He had me complete simple exercises. They did not seem difficult, but he was able to build upon them to add to my strength and flexibility. As time progressed I was elated at how much the exercises were helping me to reach my goals.

My first challenge was a hike for charity. I was scared to go on it. I hadn’t trusted my knee in a long time. The hike was only 2 miles, however it had steep hills and crossed a stream. It had also rained that day, so the trail was slippery. At the beginning, I favored my other leg and tried to take small steps to keep my balance. Then the stream came. I had to jump. When my feet landed on the other side, my mind knew. This knee is strong and capable. The rest of the hike was a great experience that I plan to repeat.

I cannot thank Don enough for taking me on as a client. He has helped me reach many fitness goals and I plan to continue to reach more in the future.
